Governor Gavin Newsom commuted Rosemary Deyer's sentence in March after 34 years. Treasurer Fiona Ma and her Chief of Staff, Genevieve Jopanda, picked her up from CIW prison in SoCAL and brought her home, free.
“Words cannot express what freedom means to me. Home Free is a place where I, and others, can readjust to society — it is the largest blessing in my life. My gratitude is never-ending.”
